Wine tasting should be both fun and educational – and it certainly is when Ole-Jonny is in charge. He creates a flavorful experience, whether you’re a beginner or already know a lot about wine. After all, there’s always more to learn!
Ole-Jonny Korsgaard has an impressive career behind him. He has held roles as waiter, maître d’, restaurant manager, and Food & Beverage Manager at, among others, Hotel Norge in Bergen and the Grand Hotel in Oslo. He has also served as hotel director several times and worked as destination director at Skeikampen – a place that houses one of Norway’s oldest wine cellars.
He is a certified sommelier from the Gastronomic Institute, has participated in over twenty wine tours, and organized countless wine tastings. Over the years, he has sampled well over 1,000 different wines from around the world.
Here you’ll meet a highly qualified sommelier with solid experience and a true talent for sharing his knowledge. Best of all, he brings his own warmth, good humor, and engaging personality. Together, we’ll embark on a journey through the universe of wine – from grape to glass, exploring taste, labels, serving, glass selection, the seven “S’s,” and the pairing of wine and food. The goal is to give you useful tips and inspiration for a richer wine life.
We also host Wine & Dine evenings, where wine and food meet in perfect harmony.
